Recently I was at a BBQ in the beautiful Essex countryside with some new friends. The sun was going down & the light was so gorgeous I couldn’t resist grabbing them for a quick few snaps in a nearby obliging pea field! These guys are still newly weds, don’t they make such a cute couple? Thanks for indulging me, cori & gavin! Xx
2017 was always going to be a year of change for us. Before it all kicked in though, we escaped another dreary February and spent the whole month with friends in northern Gran Canaria. It was a much needed rest for the 4 of us, but also the most wonderful adventure!
Situated in the Canary Islands off the coast of Africa, Gran Canaria is a fascinating little climate and culture all of its own. It felt much more South American than mainland Spanish. We stayed in the town of Galdar on the north coast, away from all the tourists and familiar accents that betray the south of the Island. We wanted a taste of real life here, to be with and eat like the locals, to improve our Spanish and to explore the area with an appreciative eye.
The town is built around a Volcano and we stayed on a Finca at a banana plantation at the base of it, near the beach.
The town was quaint and colourful with a colonnial feel…
We saw a lot of Monarch butterflies fluttering around!y’all know I love me a good doorway…actually there were loads…
textures…road trip into the mountainsan inquisitive goat joined us for lunchThis pretty town was only 10 minutes up the road…I shot these all on 35mm film these stunning mountains were the backdrop for the opening scenes of Jurassic Park no way we weren’t having a dip!on that happy note I’ll wrap it up for now! more to come at another date…
So, after a memorable wedding ceremony and a happy afternoon spent in the sun eating icecreams and having their portraits taken, Stephen & Lauren were welcomed into their wedding breakfast. The upper room at the Mill had been decorated with all Lauren’s pretty touches…
their friend Siobhan had spent hours making this beautiful bunting for the whole room!Let the speeches (and accompanying slideshow!) begin!Love this quaint for a table plan…Time for the band to set up…!things got blurrier as the night went on…(!)It was a brilliant night…I danced so hard my legs hurt for 2 days afterwards!

Welcome to beautiful County Down…a most picturesque part of Northern Ireland…especially here near Tyrella beach – which was the stunning setting for Stephen & Lauren’s late summer wedding. Ross and I arrived early to start shooting the prep at their Gingerbread House and it went a little something like this….At last: a PINK wedding dress! Yay!a most chilled bride…Lauren as a flowergirl…Seriously, this dress..Kisses from baby Loki!Meanwhile, my trusty assistant Ross was over at the boys house, shooting the preparations there…I must have Ross well trained to get such a detail orientated, girly shot…Back with the girls, we couldn’t resist a few snaps at beautiful Tyrella beach before the ceremony…sure, it would make us slightly late..but when the beach is literally behind your house….Ok, we’re late enough..Let’s go!Part 2 coming soon! xx
Elaine & Jonathan recently welcomed gorgeous baby Charley into their lives!
One Saturday afternoon I went round to drink tea and spend some time in their happy domesticity snapping away! It went a little something like this…Elaine is a piano teacher and already Charley takes an interest…I really like babies at this age when their faces are so expressive and they’re coming into their own personalities! If you’d like a family shoot, drop me a line on firstname.lastname@example.org xxxx
